Lin Chi-ling appears at Taipei Film Festival after months of absence
15 Jul – After months of silence, Lin Chi-ling surprised many recently by making her appearance at the Taipei Film Festival.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who hasn't been active on social media since the pandemic - sparking rumours of pregnancy; posted several photos from her appearance at the said event on 12 July, and expressed her thoughts about making movies in the new normal.
She wrote, "The world has changed this year. We try to explore new ways of life and adapt to new interpersonal models. But all this makes us more courageous and appreciative."
Lin stated that movies are the microcosm of life, and that we seek for meaning and resonance to our own lives through films, which is why she is thankful to everybody who works hard to make films and enable everybody to gather at the said awards.
"Today, the Taipei Film Festival overcomes all kinds of difficulties to be held as scheduled, and enabled us to cheer for the delicate and stubborn filmmakers, and finally hope that we can continue to move forward without fear and tolerance," she added.
Aside from showing off her slender figure, she also posted a photo of her high heels - seemingly to indirectly denied rumours that her absence from social media was due to pregnancy.
