Lilybeth Rasonable not worried about stars' departure
17 Aug - Even though there has been an influx of Kapuso stars leaving the network to join ABS-CBN, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV, Lilybeth Rasonable stressed that the network is not affected by it at all.
As reported on PEP News, the GMA Executive recently spoke about the issue that sparked following Vice Ganda's joke - that the network slogan of "Where You Belong" does not reflect the fact that its stars keep leaving - saying that there are stories behind each and every artistes that transferred from the company.
"Some were not renewed, they were released. They're free to go wherever the work takes them. There are also artistes from the other network who moved here too. We welcome them as well," she said.
One example of Kapuso star who was released was actor Aljur Abrenica, who is now part of the Kapamilya network and currently filming "Ang Probinsyano".
Rasonable added that when a person goes, there is always another to replace them, and that is part and parcel of working in the television industry.
"A lot of these stars still have a good relationship [with us], and even when there is trouble along the way, we would eventually patch things up," she said.
