Li Ronghao renews contract with Warner Music


29 Aug - Chinese singer Li Ronghao has recently renewed his contract with Warner Music.

As reported on Liberty Times, the singer, who has been working under the Warner umbrella for the last three years, will be spending another three years with the company - a collaboration that has earned him NTD 80 million.

When asked if the money was part of the reason on why he decided to stay with Warner Music, Li stated, "It's not a question of money. The key is a pleasant cooperation."

Li also expressed his hope to perform his own concert at the Taipei Arena next year, and will soon release his new album.

On the other hand, Sam Chen, CEO of Warner Music Chinese Mandarin Group stated that the company is happy working with Li, as he has grossed billions [of Taiwanese dollars] for the company over the last three years.

When asked if there are any plans for Warner to court Li's girlfriend, Rainie Yang, now under EMI, to join the company, Sam responded, "Rainie is a very good artiste. She will choose the best for herself."
