Li Chen sustains minor injury filming variety show
19 Apr - Who knew you could get injured while tossing your graduation cap in the air? But that's what happened to Chinese actor Li Chen, who had a minor injury during the filming of his variety show, "Keep Running".
As reported on Sina, the actor who didn't specify how he was injured during a segment where cast members wore graduation gowns, was sent to the hospital after sustaining a two centimetre gash on his forehead.
Said programme director Wei Fawen, "Li Chen accidentally injured his forehead while throwing his graduation cap, so the team called the doctor on site to tend to it. But the next morning, we took him to the hospital for safety measure."
"We thank all the fans for your concerns. The programme will continue its recording normally," he added.
Li had since updated his situation on Weibo, saying, "In the future, I hope everybody would pay more attention to this. Be careful when you are throwing your graduation cap in the air."
On the other hand, his fiancée Fan Bingbing just found the whole thing funny, and wanted him to have a lightning scar so that he could resemble the fictional wizard Harry Potter.
