Li Chen and Fan Chengcheng reunite in "Keep Running"
17 Apr – With the first episode of the latest season of "Keep Running" finally released, netizens tuned in to watch the interaction between the latest member of the show Fan Chengcheng with senior member Li Chen, the same person who was supposed to marry his sister Fan Bingbing in the past.
In the episode, Fan can be seen guessing composite photos of the senior members of the show on different doors, and immediately recognised Li, despite it being mashed together with the image of singer Li Ronghao.
As soon as he opened the door, he immediately called Li "brother" naturally, and went on to hug the actor. The two spoke for a moment, with Li saying that he was able to recognise Fan's photo as well despite it being mashed with Li Dan.
Li also joked about Fan's weight gain, which made many realise how close the two still are.
It is noted that Li Chen was engaged to actress Fan Bingbing in September 2017 after meeting on the set of "The Empress of China" in 2014. However, the two ended the engagement in 2019 as Fan Bingbing was in the midst of her tax evasion scandal.
In a 2020 interview, the actress admitted that she felt sorry for how the scandal affected Li's career due to their relationship despite him not being involved at all, and that all that she could do was to stay away from him for his sake.
