Li Bingbing back for "Resident Evil 6"
28 Apr – "Resident Evil" director, Paul W.S. Anderson recently confirmed that Chinese actress Li Bingbing will be returning for the sixth instalment of the video game adaptation.
As reported on CCTV, while discussing the future of 3D technology at the Beijing International Film Festival recently, Anderson revealed that not only the sixth "Resident Evil" movie, tentatively titled "Rising Resident Evil", will be made for 3D, Li Bingbing will also return to reprise her role as Ada Wong.
"I have to go home tomorrow for "Rising Resident Evil". That's what I'm going to do," said Anderson. "As you know, Bingbing was in the last movie and she will be there again."
He also revealed his plans to come to China and shoot a movie after concluding "Rising Resident Evil".
Aside from Li Bingbing, the lead star, Milla Jovovich will also be returning as Alice.
First introduced in the "Resident Evil 2" video game back in 1998, the character Ada Wong later appeared as a player character or in supporting roles in the video games "Resident Evil 4", "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles", "Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles", "Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City" and "Resident Evil 6".
The character made its live-action film debut through "Resident Evil: Retribution", played by the Chinese actress back in 2012.
