Lesley Chiang has nothing to say about Fred Cheng's engagement
9 Jan – Lesley Chiang recently stated that she would rather not make any comments about the news that ex-boyfriend Fred Cheng will be tying the knot with fellow singer Stephanie Ho.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke to the media at the launch of her new series, "Legal Mavericks 2", quickly dismissed questions about whether or not she has congratulated Fred for his engagement.
"It has been seven years. It's a happy occasion for them. I want to respect that. My boyfriend and I are also very happy together, so there is no need for me to say anything," she said.
When asked if she has plans to tie the knot as well, Lesley stated that she frankly wants to, as her father Paul Chun is already 75 and would like to have a grandson.
As to whether she will get married this year, she replied, "I don't know. Maybe. We've been dating for three years, and my father also likes my boyfriend very much."
Lesley and Fred dated for a while before they broke up in 2015. However, after admitting his romance with Stephanie in 2017, netizens began accusing the latter as the third party in Fred's relationship with Lesley, which both parties had since denied.
