Congratulations are in order for Leonardo DiCaprio, who recently scored the role of a lifetime as the star of a great new meme. The Oscar winner was spotted "playing" (using that term loosely here) volleyball in Malibu over the weekend, but when he went in to bump the ball as it went over the net, he missed and got hit right in the face. I wish I could tell you he recovered gracefully from the collision, but additional photos from the outing would clearly prove that to be a lie. He seemed to be a good sport about the blunder, though!

Leo may have survived fighting a bear in The Revenant, but he is no match for a common airborne volleyball. (Don't worry, Page Six reports that the actor was not injured the slip-up.)

As an uncoordinated former high school athlete who barely left the bench for her freshman volleyball team, I have been there. But, the sport aside, haven't we all though? Ever spill coffee all over your outfit during the Monday morning commute? That's a proverbial volleyball to the face. Slide into someone's DMs and get rejected? A hard spike to the nose.

It comes as no surprise that Leo's relatable beachside fumble quickly got the Internet's attention.

DiCaprio is no stranger to the meme treatment; his drink-toting Jay Gatsby pose and shirtless water gun fight are already Internet favorites. This volleyball moment is just the latest addition to an already iconic list.
