E-commerce site Lazada has tied up with convenience store chain 7-Eleven and delivery service Ninja Van to give its customers the option of collecting their purchases from 7-Eleven stores.

The new parcel collection service was available from Thursday (18 October) at 159 7-Eleven stores and will be rolled out to almost 350 stores by the end of this year.

Shoppers choosing the option can state their preferred collection point for their Lazada orders.

To be eligible for the service, each parcel must weigh less than 5kg and the combined measurements of the width, height and length of parcels must be under 80cm.

Users of this service will enjoy free delivery, compared with $1.49 for normal and $2.99 for express drop-off to their homes.

Pierre de Bellescize, CEO of Lazada eLogistics Singapore, said, “Partnering with 7-Eleven and Ninja Van was a natural next step and bolsters the click-and-collect options we already offer with SingPost’s POPStations, SPH Buzz Convenience Stores and Parcel Santa Lockers located in condominiums, to name a few.”

According to 7-Eleven, the e-commerce partnership will provide the largest network of collection points in Singapore.

“We do encounter a substantial number of failed deliveries, which is disruptive for not only our customers, but sellers and delivery companies as well,” said Ray Chou, country head of Ninja Van.

“With this wide network for self-service collection points, customers now have the hassle-free option of collecting their parcels at their convenience.”
