Law Kar Ying unscathed at "Amazing Spring" fire incident
20 Sep – Hong Kong actor Law Kar Ying recently assured he is fine despite the recent fire accident during the filming of his new movie, "Amazing Spring".
According to Mingpao, the actor who made a hospital visit after the accident, shared that he was lucky that he wasn't in the scene when the fire happened, and was able to escape unharmed.
"The accident actually happened during the last shot. It couldn't escape the disaster," he said, adding that he will be returning home to Hong Kong.
Said Law, a lot of the more veteran actors got hurt during the chaos, and most of the injured were extras.
It is reported that veteran actress Sharon Yeung Pan Pan sustained seven percent second-degree burns on her face, right hand and legs, while Malaysian actress Joey Leong had five percent of second-degree burns on both her legs.
The incident happened during the filming of a burning scene, with sources revealed that the blaze at one of the houses that was set on fire burnt out of control.
