Lau Siu Kwan determined to fight COVID-19 despite weakened state
28 Jul – Although he was previously determined to fight COVID-19, Lau Siu Kwan seemed more subdued and weakened the day after his first interview with the media.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who communicated to the media of his condition while isolated in his ward at the hospital, stated that he had been given strong drugs to fight the virus, which has been challenging for him.
"I have been getting chills, vomiting and experiencing dizziness again. But the doctor said that it was just a normal side effect, nothing serious," he said.
Lau promised that he will continue to fight the disease and try his best to sustain, and that despite his delicate condition he is confident in defeating the virus.
The actor became the fifth person in showbiz to be diagnosed with the coronavirus, after contracting it from fellow actor Robert Mak following their previous gig.
