Lau Dan happy with son's new relationship
24 Nov – Lau Dan couldn't help but laugh when he was approached by the media following news of son Hawick Lau's new romance.
As reported on Mingpao, the "Come Home Love" actor, who attended a promotional event of his long-running series, stated that people kept saying that he has been laughing a lot for the past few days.
"In fact, I have always loved to laugh," he said, though admitted that he is much happier recently.
Lau stated that son Hawick, who recently confirmed to be dating Chinese actress Li Xiaofeng, has been secretive about his love life and only called him after their romance made the news.
When asked if Hawick will be bringing Li home to meet the family in Hong Kong, Lau said, "Hawick will return in January next year, but I am unsure if he will bring her or whether he will stay for the New Year. He usually works more during the New Year."
Asked to comment about Li, Lau stated that the actress is very beautiful.
"As long as my son is happy, I am happy. I heard that she has a good education. But the most important thing is to have a good character," he said.
As to whether he will tell his granddaughter Noemie about her daddy's new girlfriend, Lau laughed and said that he will leave it to Hawick.
