Lau Dan is getting closer to his goal of surpassing "A Kindred Spirit"

2 Feb – Lau Dan was part of "A Kindred Spirit" when the show made the record by being the longest running series on TVB with 1128 episodes.

Now, the veteran actor is aiming to surpass it with his current show "Come Home Love: Lo and Behold", which has just been extended to 720 episodes.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke to the media at the celebratory banquet recently, stated that his goal is to get to at least 1129 episodes – an episode more than the aforementioned '90s show.

"But of course, I won't stop if we get to 1129 episodes. I will continue filming," he said.

When asked if he would invite his son Hawick Lau to star in the show just like they did in "A Kindred Spirit", Lau smiled and said, "I don't know if he has time to do it."

On the other hand, Lau laughed when asked about rumours that his son is currently in a custody battle with Yang Mi for their four-year-old daughter, and that the veteran actor supposedly wanted to reduce his acting jobs to take care of little Noemie.

"Is that even possible?" he asked. "I am shocked that they say I am asking for less work. I have been asking [TVB] to add more work for me. I have no problem working."
