The late legendary singer Teresa Teng will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 11 August in the form of a hologram.

Teng, who passed away in 1995, is widely considered as one of the most famous singers ever in Asia who had a huge fan base in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Southeast Asia. She was known for her ability to sing in several languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Japanese, Malay and Bahasa Indonesian.

The singer will be brought back to life for her concert in Singapore through the use of lights, laser, projection and video as well as special effects. She had previously appeared in 2013 at a concert by Taiwanese singer Jay Chou and in 2015 for a concert to mark the 20th anniversary of her death.

Organised by Unusual Entertainment, the concert will also feature three singers – Vanatsaya Viseskul, Chen Jia and Wang Jing – and Grammy winning violinist Jamii Szmadzinski.

Tickets to “Teresa Teng Virtual Reality World Tour 2018” – priced at $188, $168, $128, $108, $88 excluding a $4 booking fee – will be available for sale from 10am, Tuesday (13 March) onwards. They are available for purchase through the Singapore Indoor Stadium Box Office and all Singpost outlets.
