"The Last Dance" may be HK's highest grossing film soon

3 Dec - It looks like "The Last Dance" is trailing steadily to become the highest grossing Hong Kong film.

The movie's official social media account recently announced this, saying that it has now exceeded HKD 110 million in three weeks of release in Hong Kong.

"All thanks to the cast and crew. Thank you for accompanying us in this journey to every milestone," it added.

The film has already surpassed this year's biggest box office film, "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In", which made HKD 99.3 million at the box office earlier this year.

It is now set to dethrone "A Guilty Conscience", which has made HKD 115 million since its release last year. Interestingly enough, both films stars Dayo Wong.

It is noted that the film is also doing well in Malaysia, having grossed RM7 million at the box office.

In related news, "The Last Dance" won four awards at the Asia Pacific Film Festival 2024, including Best Director for Anselm Chan and Best Actress for Michelle Wai.
