LASALLE student wins Miss Universe Singapore 2016

The 20-year-old student from LASALLE College of the Arts, Cheryl Chou, vied against 14 other finalists to win the Miss Universe Singapore 2016 title on Sunday (16 August), at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. Chou, who will be representing Singapore in the international round next year, walked away with a $10,000 cash prize, $24,000 worth of beauty and wellness services, $20,000 worth of dental services and $9,000 worth of personal fitness session. The first and second runner-up titles went to Temasek Polytechnic student Tanisha Khan, 18, and Sonya Branson, 25, respectively.
