Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones Channels Her Grandmother, Princess Margaret
Princess Margaret's grandchildren are beginning to make themselves known in society. At Tatler’s Little Black Book party last night, Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones stepped out in an outfit that clearly paid homage to her late, glamorous grandmother.
To the party, Lady Margarita wore a Michael Kors Collection crystal dress and a white faux fur coat—reminiscent of her grandmother's 1951 outfit of a white, beaded gown and a white fur coat:
Margarita was born two months after Princess Margaret passed away in 2002, so she never knew her grandmother. She is the daughter of Princess Margaret's son David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, and is currently a student at Oxford Brookes University. She makes hand-made jewelry (@matitajewellery) and is a photographer (@atriaphotos).
According to Tatler, "Margarita was the belle of last night's ball: she spent the evening dancing with cousins Robert Armstrong-Jones and Samuel Chatto, and her friends, until the early hours. All the girls wanted to be her and all the boys wanted to be with her."
Lady Margarita's last notable public appearance with the royal family was at the funeral of her great aunt, Queen Elizabeth.
In Westminster Abbey, she sat with her brother, Charles Armstrong-Jones, and their father, David Armstrong-Jones. (Her mother, Serena, Countess of Snowden did not attend; her parents divorced in 2020.) Earlier this year, she attended the traditional Easter Sunday Church service at St Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle with the royals, and the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Prince Philip.
Eight-year-old Margarita was also famously a bridesmaid at Prince William and Kate Middleton's 2011 royal wedding.
