Lady Gaga is the ultimate beauty chameleon. Always one to switch up her ‘do, Gaga debuted rainbow locks on Instagram yesterday, and like always, she looks fierce.

The singer has always been a fan of bold colors, so the rainbow look comes at now surprise. In fact, Gaga even recently helped create a limited series of rainbow beverages for Starbucks. The partnership was part of Cups for Kindness, and proceeds supported Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

As Gaga noted on Instagram, her colorful new look is in honor of the start of her Joanne World Tour, which kicks off on August 1 in Vancouver, Canada. Lady Gaga said she hopes the upcoming tour will inspire fans to always be them truest selves, speaking in an interview for Entertainment Weekly.

“I hope [fans] are able to celebrate with me what Joanne is: a woman looking out, putting her hat on, and saying to herself, ‘I’m about to go somewhere because I’m getting out of here. I’m leaving. I’m not sure what will happen or if I will even like it, but I don’t care, because I can’t stay here.’”

And now…Gaga’s rainbow hair.

It’s been a busy and challenging few months for Gaga, who in addition to preparing for the world tour, also debuted an exclusive collection with Urban Outfitters in May. She also lost one of her best friends to cancer, Sonja Durham, the inspiration behind Gaga’s song “Grigio Girls.”

Such a strong woman. We can’t wait to see the Mother Monster hit the stage come August.
