KZ Tandingan is no longer part of "Singer 2018"

The singer was eliminated in the ninth episode of the Hunan TV singing competition

20 Mar – KZ Tandingan's plan to perform "Anak" on the stage of "Singer 2018" was crushed after she was eliminated in the latest episode of the Hunan TV show.

As reported on Rappler, the singer, who performed Lorde's "Royals" in the 9th episode of the competition on 16 March, was placed last out of eight competitors despite giving her best performance on the show.

In a Twitter post she published after the episode aired, Tandingan stated, "I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. I'm going home tomorrow with a happy heart."

"This won't be the last time the world will hear a Filipino sing her heart out. Thank You Lord!" she added.

Tandingan entered the competition back in early February, and made headlines for breaking fellow competitor Jessie J.'s winning streak by placing first for her performance of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep".
