Kyle Richards to Appear in 'Buying Beverly Hills' Despite Rumored Split From Mauricio Umansky
Buying Beverly Hills is one of the many luxe real estate reality shows to take off following the success of Selling Sunset. Earlier this year, Netflix renewed the show for a second season and filming is underway. As we await fresh episodes with the latest happenings, let's take a look at everything we know about what's in store for season two below.
What Will Season Two Be About?
Similar to each new season of Selling Sunset, the second installment of Buying Beverly Hills will continue to follow the agents and clients of The Agency in Beverly Hills, California. It'll likely still center on the CEO and founder of the global brokerage firm, Mauricio Umansky. We have no doubt it'll feature insanely incredible homes with surprising standout residences; after all, the first season included the Los Feliz Murder House and a tour of comedian Whitney Cummings’s abode.
Who Will Star in It?
Along with Mauricio, season one followed two of his daughters, Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky—who also work at The Agency on the Umansky team—as well as a group of agents in the office. That cohort included Ben Belack, Joey Ben-Zvi, Jon Grauman, Brandon Graves, Allie Lutz Rosenberger, Melissa Platt, Sonika Vaid, and Santiago Arana. If you missed season one, or need a refresher, read up on everything you need to know about the cast, straight from the stars themselves.
At the end of season one, there was plenty of drama. We learned that Mauricio's daughter, Sophia Umansky, was considering joining The Agency—which would mean three of his four daughters would be involved in the family business. Farrah, his stepdaughter and eldest child, was thinking about leaving the company, but seemed to have made up her mind to stay after Mauricio agreed to hire a director of operations to ease the stress on their team. Ben was being recruited by Compass, and possibly other firms, after almost seven years with The Agency at the time. He seems to still be with The Agency, so we can likely expect his return.
Is Kyle Richards In or Out?
While the cast for the second season hasn't been officially confirmed yet, we know that Mauricio's wife and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards Umansky will appear on the show. She filmed for the next installment during the couple's rumored split, according to a People magazine report. Both Kyle and Mauricio have denied the divorce claims. "However, yes, we have had a rough year," they shared in a joint statement on Instagram. They went on to describe it as: "The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone's part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately."
When Is the Release Date?
Netflix hasn't announced a release date for the second season quite yet. The first season hit the streaming platform in November 2022, and the show was officially renewed for a second run in April 2023. We're also still waiting for details on how many new episodes there will be following the first eight-episode stint. Fingers crossed we get more information soon!
