Kristy Yang slows down after 20 years
10 Jun - She used to be one of the most popular faces in movies and television, but now 42-year-old actress Kristy Yang rarely appears on screen.
Her last movie, "Be Together", even failed to leave a mark in the box office, sparking speculations that her popularity is decreasing.
However, according to On CC, when asked about it recently, the actress explained that she no longer takes filming projects in bulk like she used to.
"Now I film series and movies when I want to. When I was younger, I was still developing my career. So I kept filming one drama after another without taking a break," said Kristy.
She continued, "I am now in my 20th year in the industry. I can't continue to do the same thing. Our lifestyle and mindset must change accordingly."
The actress, who was popular through films such as "The Storm Riders" and "A Man Called Hero", also stated that she is not interested in filming period dramas anymore due to its challenges.
"I wish to do more modern dramas. It's quite difficult because good script is extremely rare to find now," she said.
