Kristal Tin undergoes surgery for lung cancer
5 Dec - Kristal Tin recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with early-stage lung adenocarcinoma.
In a social media post that she published on 3 December via Instagram, the former TVB actress said that the doctors found the cancer after a routine physical examination. After several confirmations, she agreed to remove the cancer via surgery.
Kristal admitted that she didn't seem nervous at all despite it being her first surgery, which made everybody at the hospital truly surprised.
"Having said that, Taiwan's medical care is really good. It may be that there is a health insurance even if you do some self-funded surgery. And the most important thing is people, as each of them medical staff is very careful. Because after the lung surgery, even if you take a painkiller, every breath will hurt, and there will be some rehabilitation to slowly restore the lungs to normal. They will not only explain the process in detail, but will always care and encourage you when you follow it. Every time, they will tell you positively that you are doing a good job," she revealed.
Kristal assured that she is doing fine now and that there is no need to worry about her condition. She also expressed her gratitude to the medical team and said that her husband Chapman To was very nervous and had been actively looking for cancer treatment information and medical advice for her.
Many friends took to the comments to wish her well, from Phil Lam to Stephy Tang, Jennifer Yu to Ali Lee, the latter who posted, "Get well soon!"
