Krispy Kreme Is Giving Out One Free Donut (Any Kind!) — Plus a Dozen Is $2 on National Doughnut Day

Krispy KremeNational Doughnut Day is near!
On the food holiday, which falls on Friday, June 7, Krispy Kreme is handing out a free donut of choice, no purchase necessary. Customers can also grab a dozen original glazed donuts for $2 with the purchase of another full-priced dozen.
The free donut excludes limited-time only offerings (like Dolly Parton's Southern Sweets collection) but glazed, iced, filled donuts, and cake donuts are just a few of the options up for grabs.

“Krispy Kreme fans look forward to National Doughnut Day every year, and this year they can get their favorite for free!” Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer, said in a press release. “It’s a sweet day all around. We can’t wait to thank everyone for their love of Krispy Kreme doughnuts.”

In April, the donut shop announced a new Krispy Kreme Rewards system. The rewards program lets customers earn 10 points for every $1 spent. Similar to the old rewards system, these points can be redeemed for bakery items and drinks. 150-250 points can be used for an original glazed or classic donut, coffee or hot chocolate or 1400-1700 points can get you a dozen glazed or assorted classic donuts.
Members also score a free birthday treat and have the opportunity to try limited-edition products for free. Fans can sign up for Krispy Kreme Rewards on the bakery’s app or website.

Doughnuts are sold at a Krispy Kreme storeThe chain announced its collaboration with Parton in May. The line, which is still available for a limited time, includes four treats: the Dolly Dazzler, the Peachy Keen Cobbler, the Banana Pudding Pie and the Chocolate Crème Pie.
The Dolly Dazzler is an original glazed donut dipped in strawberry icing, featuring gold, pink and white glitter sprinkles. The next fruit focused donut, the Peachy Keen Cobbler, is an unglazed donut that has real peach filling inside and is dipped in brown sugar icing and “crunchy cobbler” topping.
The remaining two donuts are inspired by classic desserts. The Banana Pudding Pie is an unglazed donut stuffed with banana pudding filling that’s made from wafers and banana pudding "kreme." It’s then dipped in yellow icing and topped with white icing swirls and a wafer cookie. The Chocolate Crème Pie treat is a glazed donut that’s topped with chocolate brownie cream, whipped vanilla topping and chocolate cookie crumble.
