Kris Jenner explains the meaning behind Khloé Kardashian naming her daughter True
Khloé Kardashian's daughter may not have a name starting with "K," but the name is still steeped in Kardashian family history, Kris Jenner explained on Monday.
Khloé revealed that she and Tristan Thompson decided to name their baby girl True on Monday, and Kris followed up with an Instagram message about the unique name.
"I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!!" she wrote alongside a picture of pink balloons. "FUN FACT... my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton....my Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton...so I am so excited Khloé named her daughter True!!! #lovebug #familytradition #family."
She also tagged 5-day-old True's official Instagram account, which already has 51,000 followers.

Kris' parents are Mary Jo Shannon (whom the family lovingly calls M.J.) and Robert Houghton. Her parents divorced when Kris was seven years old, and Shannon later married Harry Shannon. The two stayed together for 40 years, until he died in a car crash in 2003.
In an episode of Keeping up With the Kardashians, M.J. talked about Harry's relationship with Kris, and said that Kris's biological dad "Bob" and Harry knew each other, but weren't close.
"Harry would be very proud of you," she said of Kris' success. "Her stepdad adored her."
Meanwhile, a source recently told ET that Kris has been by Khloé's side nonstop since Khloé gave birth amid reports that Tristan had allegedly cheated on the 33-year-old reality star multiple times while she was pregnant.
"Khloé needs her mom more than ever now," the source said. "Everyone has always seen Khloé as the strongest sister, but in light of the new baby and the timing of Tristan's cheating scandal, having her mom by her side has been so essential in keeping her spirits high. Khloé and Kris are spending true bonding time with the new baby. Kris is teaching Khloé the ropes when it comes to breastfeeding."
"People always hear of the drama that goes on in the Kardashian family, but Khloé and her mother have spent some wonderful moments together despite the recent news," the source added.
