Kris Aquino denies any issue with Claudine Barretto
5 Apr – Kris Aquino recently assured that everything is fine between her and actress Claudine Barretto, despite the latter's reconciliation with her sister and Aquino's critic, Gretchen.
As reported on Push, the actress, who addressed the speculations when it was raised by a netizen recently, stated that the two of them, who have been friends since co-starring "Etiquette for Mistresses" in 2014, have never been "not okay".
"I am happy for her that this bridge has been rebuilt because the truth will always be 'how could we not talk about family when family's all we got?' Sincerely I am happy for Clau-clau," she wrote.
When another netizen mentioned that she has unfollowed Barretto on social media, Aquino said that it shouldn't be a big issue.
"We can remain friends in real life... following a person on social media isn't proof of affection. Keeping a respectful silence is actually a more sincere gesture," she said.
It is noted that the younger Barretto reconciled with her sister amid the conflict between Gretchen and Aquino. Gretchen has been publicly expressing support for Aquino's former business manager Nicko Falcis in the qualified theft case that the Queen of All Media filed against him.
