Kris Aquino on Barretto siblings: No need to add to their pain
30 Oct – Kris Aquino would prefer if people give the Barretto family the privacy they needed to cope with the loss of their patriarch and the conflict that has been going on among them.
As reported on Inquirer, Aquino's view came about after a netizen commented on a post she published about her siblings to wish sister Viel a happy birthday, saying that he or she hopes that Aquino and her sisters will not fight like "the Barretto wild crazy sisters".
She responded, "You know that they are grieving, right? And there's no need for us to add to their pain?"
It is noted that Aquino is good friends with actress Claudine Barretto, whom she worked with in the 2015 movie, "Etiquette for Mistresses".
At the same time, the actress was said to have drawn the ire of another Barretto sister, Gretchen – who previously expressed supports towards businessman Nicko Falcis in the latter's court case against Aquino.
However, despite Gretchen's support for Falcis, Aquino stated that she bore no ill-will against her as Gretchen once campaigned for her mother against the Marcoses in 1986.
