Korean influencer identified as the body found in Cambodia's Kandal province
12 Jun> – Korean influencer Ahyeong has been identified as the woman whose body was found in a pond in Phnom Penh recently.
Earlier, it was reported that a body of a Korean woman was found dead, wrapped in red cloth in a small town in Kandal province, by local villagers. She was later revealed to be the AfreecaTV influencer, who had been travelling to Cambodia.
Two Chinese suspects running a medical clinic in the area were arrested, and testified that they abandoned the woman's body after she had seizures and died while receiving treatment at their clinic two days prior.
The Cambodian police are still waiting for the autopsy report, while Korean police have requested a thorough investigation.
Ahyeong, who has more than 250,000 subscribers on the streaming platform as a BJ (broadcasting jockey), announced her retirement last year.
