Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and while it's a busy time of year for florists and chocolatiers, they can keep their bouquets and boxed confections. As a former pro baker who still spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I've got something else on my list: this stunning KitchenAid Go Cordless Food Chopper. Green is my favorite color, so when I saw that this emerald hue was available exclusively at Target as part of a Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collaboration, I thought, "I need that in my kitchen." Let's hope my husband reads this and takes note!
A mini food processor that doesn't need to be plugged in and comes in the most beautiful shade of green I've ever seen? Be still my heart!
I firmly believe that when it comes to kitchen appliances, bigger isn't always better — especially if you're short on space. I've used mini food processors for years and find that they're just as powerful as their larger counterparts, easier to clean and less of a hassle to bust out of the cabinet. With a 5-cup capacity, the KitchenAid Go Cordless Food Chopper has ample space for whizzing up sauces, nut butters and purées, and its two settings allow for both coarser and finer blitzing. It's just the right size for preparing single servings or even making homemade baby food. (If you're in the market for a roomier model, this 9-cup food processor is also part of the collection.)
This mini marvel also comes with a whisking accessory for whipping cream, and the fact that it's battery-powered is a game-changer. Now I won't have to worry about finding an unoccupied outlet along my counter, and according to the brand, it can chop up to 40 onions on a full charge. My allium-sensitive eyes are crying tears of joy. (Note: Batteries are sold separately — this rechargeable 12V MAX battery is the one you want.)
While having a smaller food processor certainly makes for easier storage, this one is so gorgeous, I'd be tempted to leave it out for all to admire. My dinner guests will (quite literally) be green with envy.
It's not just the color and design I'm sold on — the fact that this food processor has an impressive 4.9-star average rating also instills a lot of confidence in its quality.
