"Kita Kita" gets an Indonesian remake

18 Sep – An Indonesian remake of the Filipino sleeper hit, "Kita Kita" is set to be released soon.

As reported on PEP, the news was shared by "Kita Kita" director Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, who posted the trailer of the Indonesian version, "Cinta Itu Buta" on social media.

She wrote, "Ugh.. got teary eyed on this. Congratulations team [Kita Kita] and [Cintu Itu Buta]! Can't wait to watch this Indonesian remake shot in Busan, Korea! Look!"

The upcoming film, helmed by Rachmania Arunita, stars Shandy Aulia and Dodit Mulyanto. It will be released in Indonesian theatres on 10 October.

The original film, starring Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez, tells the story of a blind woman falling in love with a man she meets in Sapporo, Japan.
