Kit Kat with a cake in it is most luxe Kit Kat you'll ever eat
Kit Kat is no stranger to variations on its classic wafer, but this one is fancy AF.
After debuting a 24-karat gold covered Kit Kat, a sake-flavoured Kit Kat and Kit Kat sushi, the chocolate bar brand has come up with the Chocolatory Gateau Mignon, which has a piece of rich chocolate cake inside it.

The Gateau Mignon Kit Kat took Japanese pastry chef Yasumasa Takagi over a year to develop. Takagi used a lengthy process of trial and error to create a fondant cake with just the right texture to balance the sweetness of the bar's other ingredients, according to SoraNews24.

The pastry chef is also responsible for many of the brand's gourmet flavours — like Kit Kats frozen with liquid nitrogen, and European mendiant-inspired Kit Kats.
The Gateau Mignon Kit Kat was released in conjunction with the reopening of Kit Kat's flagship Chocolatory boutique in Tokyo's Ginza district — and the fondant-filled bar will only be available for sale there.

The Kit Kat Chocolatory Gateau Mignon will be available at a price of 1,458 yen ($13) for three, or six for 2,916 yen ($26).
If you're one of the first 85 customers to purchase a box of three Gateau Mignon Kit Kats, you'd also receive a free piece of the rich chocolate gateau used inside.
Mmm. Have a break, and go to Japan.
