This is how Kim Kardashian’s surrogate reacted when she found out she was carrying Kim Kardashian’s child
“Surprise! You’re gestating a Kardashian!” Most people can file that phrase under the “Things Nobody Will Ever Say To Me” category. Unless you’re Kim Kardashian’s surrogate. And for one unsuspecting woman, that moment actually happened. In a recent appearance on The Real, Kardashian described the moment her surrogate found out whose baby she’s carrying. “She didn’t know at the beginning,” Kardashian explained while visiting the show to promote her already hugely popular new perfume that made $10 million in just one day.
If you’re surprised that Kim Kardashian’s surrogate didn’t always know she was working for the famous family, we were too. But as the reality TV star explained on The Real, Kardashian had the option to not tell her surrogate that the baby is hers.
“You could do it totally anonymously, you could go that route,” Kardashian told the hosts of the talk show. It would be a shame for the surrogate to never know that the baby she’s gestating has Kardashian-West genes, though. Because during the nine months of carrying Kim Kardashian’s third child, the surrogate should be able to feel like royalty — or better yet, like a Kardashian. For example, whoever is carrying a Kardashian-West baby had better be able to ride on at least one private jet and eat at least five giant Kardashians salads.
Kim Kardashian’s surrogate reacted to finding out she’s carrying a Kardashian in the exact same way anyone else probably would: by becoming really excited.
The Real host Loni Love asked the questions everybody wanted to know: “When she found out, what did she do? When she found out, what happened? Did she lose it?”
“She was really excited. She was someone that had watched the show — not like a superfan or anything, that it would’ve been uncomfortable — but she had seen my struggle and seen how open I was about it. So she was really proud to do it,” Kardashian said.
We bet there could be a few more “reallys” added to accurately describe just how excited the surrogate must have been upon learning she was carrying the Kardashian-West’s third child. But those other “reallys” probably happened behind closed doors.
Kardashian explained that she felt like it was only fair to tell her surrogate her identity.
“I just felt like I wanted whoever’s carrying my baby — like, what if they weren’t a fan of me or my husband? And what if they didn’t want to be carrying our baby? I wanted to give them that choice and be, like, proud and on the same page. I wanted a relationship with her.”
