Kim Joo-hyuk killed in car accident


31 Oct – South Korean actor Kim Joo-hyuk was killed in a tragic car accident that happened on Monday, 30 October.

As reported on Korea Herald, the actor's car was driving along Yeongdong Daero when it crashed into another car, flipped, and crashed into an apartment building.

Kim, who couldn't be revived on scene, was taken to Konkuk University Hospital, where he died around 6.30pm local time.

The actor, son of late actor Kim Mu-saeng, made his debut in 1998 through the SBS drama "Letters Written on a Cloudy Day".

He had since starred in various dramas and movies, including his last miniseries "Argon" back in September. He is also known as one of the former members of the hit variety show, "2 Days 1 Night".

There are two Kim-starrers that have yet to be released, including the period drama "Heung-bu".

He was 45.
