Kenny Kwan saddened by postponed HK Coliseum concert

29 Jul – Hong Kong singer and BOY'Z member Kenny Kwan was visibly saddened by the news that the duo's upcoming Hong Kong Coliseum concert has been postponed indefinitely, following fellow member Steven Cheung's cheating scandal.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who recorded a video message from Phuket where he was originally scheduled to shoot a promo with Steven, stated that he had also wanted some answers about the scandal, but that his duo partner suddenly went missing and couldn't be contacted.

However, Kenny said that he was still thankful to have been given the chance to perform at the coveted venue, even if it didn't come to fruition.

"I am a Catholic myself, and I am very grateful for this miracle from God, and besides Him, the miracle of having you all [the fans] love me - because you have been giving us your support and enabled BOY'Z to have a concert. Whether it was successful or not, I am still thankful," he said with tears in his eyes.

Kenny also thanked the company Emperor Entertainment for giving him a chance to entertain the idea of performing at the Hong Kong Coliseum, something that he had waited for and dreamed about for more than ten years.

"I'm just sorry that this concert has been officially put on hold," he said, adding that he will make an announcement if there are any updates to the issue.

Fellow BOY'Z member Steven Cheung recently found himself in hot water after announcing his upcoming wedding, when stage actress April Leung revealed that she was still dating him two days before the announcement was made. Three more women had since come forward to reveal that they were cheated by him as well.
