Kenneth Ma's new drama is created by a TVB employee
26 Sep - It was recently revealed that Kenneth Ma is set to star in a new TVB drama, "Demon-Conquering Taxi", but did you know that the drama, in a certain way, is a first of its kind for TVB?
TVB Deputy General Manager Felix To recently appeared at the blessing ceremony of the upcoming drama for a special award presentation, where it was revealed that the drama's storyline was an original idea given by an employee of the company.
Reportedly, TVB initiated a project whereby its staff was given a chance to share an idea and concept of a storyline that will be fresh for the company – in which the idea for "Demon-Conquering Taxi" was eventually chosen as the winner.
The winning employee was awarded HKD10,000 (USD1,289) at the event by To himself.
On the other hand, when asked about his own idea for a drama, Kenneth said that he previously thought of a story about a relationship between a grandparent and his or her grandchild, adding jokingly that he should play the grandparent.
The upcoming horror drama also stars Mandy Wong, Hubert Wu, and Hugo Wong.
