Kenneth Ma wants more challenges in his roles

9 Jul – After gaining more fans through the success of his medical drama "Big White Duel", TVB actor Kenneth Ma hopes to challenge more difficult roles in future projects.

As reported on On CC, the actor, who spoke about the series recently, told the media that he was actually more interested in YT - the character played by his co-star Roger Kwok.

"I have always wanted to challenge myself and play a villainous role for a change," he said, adding that he loved YT's morally grey character.

However, Kenneth said that producer Marco Law successfully convinced him to play the righteous doctor Tong Ming instead.

Kenneth added that aside from playing an antagonist, he would also love to try and play a gay man.

"I want to portray that kind of role, but a serious one at that, not as a comic relief. But I don't know if TVB would be brave enough [to produce such a series]," he said.
