Kenichi Matsuyama to star in "Tora ni Tsubasa"

3 Aug – Kenichi Matsuyama is set to join Ito Sairi in the upcoming NHK drama, "Tora ni Tsubasa".

As reported on Mainichi, the actor, most known to the global audience as L in the live-action flick, "Death Note" and Kato in "Gantz", will be playing the role of an up-and-coming judge who has a great influence on Ito's character.

Speaking about the upcoming project, Kenichi stated, "I am very happy to be able to be involved in this project. For the past 15 years, I have been working as an actor with the goal of appearing in a morning drama."

"I hope I can enjoy myself and perform so that it will remain in the hearts of the viewers," he added.

The upcoming series, which will be aired in early 2024, is based on the story of Yoshiko Mibuchi, who was one of the first three women to become lawyers in Japan.
