Kendra Wilkinson Says Her Marriage to Hank Baskett Is Better Than Ever After Drama 'Ate Us up and Spit Us out New People'

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett couldn't be doing better.

"We're in an amazing place right now," Wilkinson told PEOPLE at the WEtv celebration for her reality series Kendra on Top and Driven to Love Thursday in Los Angeles.

"We joke around now. We're way more fun than we used to be. We don't take it too seriously anymore like we used to," she continued, referencing her husband's 2014 encounter with a transgender model that nearly ended their marriage.

"We poke fun at each other all the time now. Before it was so serious," added the reality star, 30. "The drama that we went through just shook us up. It ate us up and spit us out new people. I'm so thankful we both held on."



As for having their hardships play out on television, the former Playboy model says she doesn't regret any of it.

"My heart is literally on my sleeve. I love to express my feelings, I love to express my emotions," she said. "I hate keeping that bottled up inside. I just feel so healthy doing it. It is therapeutic to shoot the show, but what's unnatural is what comes down to the media part of everything. But, it's great still. I'm very appreciative of everything."

And Wilkinson and Baskett, 33, are also enjoying watching their two kids grow up: son Hank IV is now 6 and daughter Alijah will turn 2 next month.

"There's a milestone every day! Every minute. It's crazy. I couldn't be happier," she said. "There's no words to explain the happiness I have with them."

"It's so special to see my kids just bond so much," she added. "Little Hank pretends he's a parent. He thinks he's a parent!"
