Kelly Poon is not engaged, she is married
26 Feb – Kelly Poon is not engaged as previously reported - she is in fact married.
As reported on Liberty Times, the Singaporean singer who surprised many by sharing a photo of a man's hand holding hers and showing off a big rock on her ring finger earlier, confirmed the news through her record label Warner Music.
"I registered my marriage yesterday. I wanted to share the good news on my own terms, which is why I uploaded that photo," she said.
Kelly admitted that nobody except for her mother and younger sister knew about it, but that the photo somehow made headlines and surprised even her friends.
Kelly tied the knot with Taiwanese music producer Roger You with whom she collaborated with in the past. She revealed that the two of them only started dating a year ago after three years of friendship.
As for the proposal, the singer stated that Roger flew to Singapore to pop the question during the Lunar New Year.
When asked when they will be holding the wedding reception, Kelly said that they are still discussing the arrangements, though there will be a reception in both Singapore and Taiwan.
