During Kelly Clarkson's daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, the American Idol champion includes a segment called "Kellyoke," where she covers any and every genre of music. No matter the artist, she always manages to absolutely crush it.

This time around, Kelly took on a classic song from the country icon, Faith Hill. From the album of the same name, Kelly performed the 1999 hit song "Breathe" and once again proved why she won American Idol in the first place.

The talk show host took to center stage in a black dress, bedazzled combat boots and smokey makeup. Beginning with a soft piano, Kelly started by singing "I can feel the magic floating in the air" and before she even got to the chorus, she had everyone captivated. At the end of the video, you can see the audience give her a standing ovation.

Fans ran to the video's comment section and gave nothing but rave reviews:

  • "Kelly singing country is an another level, so is pop, rock, soul and every freaking genre."

  • "One of my favorite song sung by my all time favorite singer. Simply beautiful!"

  • "I love everything about this: the intimate piano part & then the bam in your face part when the band joins her. Every part of this performance is fantastic!"

  • "Two things from this video .1) Kelly can sing anything from her heart. 2) I miss Faith Hill as a solo singer."

With a recently released album dedicated to her past "Kellyoke" performances, including "Blue Bayou" and "Happier Than Ever", we can't help but wonder if she's already thinking about doing another because this Faith Hill cover deserves to live somewhere besides the show's YouTube channel.

Plus, Kelly's got a little extra time on her hands nowadays. The mom of two previously announced that she's stepping away from her coaching duties on The Voice. As a longtime coach with four historic wins, she admitted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, "It was really important I think to show my kids that, yes, mommy loves work and I love to do what I do. But family is first."

As executive producer of her talk show, a new album coming in 2023, and recently wrapping up the first season of American Song Contest, fans can rest assured that Kelly isn't going completely M.I.A anytime soon.
