Keeley Hawes looks glam in florals at the Met Gala
Looking glamorous as always, Keeley Hawes graced the red carpet in a stylish black floral gown at the Met Gala on Monday evening (6 May).
Hosted at at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, this year the Met Gala's dress code was 'The Garden of Time', which was inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same name.
The theme examines the connection between time and natural beauty—leaving attendees to interpret this as they please.
Embracing the theme in her usual effortless way, Keeley wore an off shoulder ruffled sleeve gown in a black and pink floral print for the occasion.
The dress also featured a flattering thigh high split detailing, showing off the actress' wonderful figure and elegant black heels.
For her makeup and hair, Keeley opted for a straight brunette bob paired with a natural makeup base and nude lip, allowing her purple eyeshadow to do all the talking.
Attending the star-studded event with her husband Matthew MacFayden, the couple were captured gracing the red carpet together hand-in-hand posing for the cameras.
Matthew also looked sharp for the event, opting for a sleek navy velvet tuxedo and white shirt.
After being married for over a decade, the celebrity couple meet in 2002 on the set of BBC spy drama Spooks.
Matthew has since then appeared in Pride & Prejudice and Succession, which was nominated for 27 awards at the Emmy Awards this year.
Keeley has also appeared in many well known series such as The Bodyguard and The Durrells and more recently played Amanda in the Netflix sensation Scoop.
The star recently posted a fun video on her Instagram with her co-stars Gillian Anderson and Billie Piper, who are also leads in the new film.
