Kay Tse honoured to sing Cantonese theme of "Secret Superstar"
10 Apr – Now that she is back in the limelight, Kay Tse recently revealed her first project - recording the theme song to the hit Bollywood movie, "Secret Superstar".
As reported on Apple Daily, the singer revealed that she was tasked to record the song, "Ko Sing Yue Cho", a Cantonese version of the original song, "Nachdi Phira", sung by Meghna Mishra and composed by Amit Trivedi, which is the theme for the said movie.
"Returning to the recording studio after two to three years of hiatus, I was really nervous. But I really wanted to be a part of it, because the movie really touched a lot of people," she said.
Kay also admitted that she is a fan of the film's star and producer Aamir Khan, who previously gained popularity in China for his movie, "Dangal".
"He is a good actor and each and every one of his movies send a strong message, an observation of the society, and a great inspiration to people," she said.
She also expressed admiration for the actor's social work, and admitted that she felt honoured to be able to lend her voice to the theme song of his new movie.
