James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet are officially mom and dad!

The Ella & Co. entrepreneur and mental health advocate welcomed his first child with his wife. On Thursday, The Daily Mail published photos of the couple pushing a stroller in the Notting Hill section of London.

James and Alizee have not confirmed the news themselves yet, so the baby's name and sex remain a mystery for now.

The new baby makes James and Alizee first-time parents, and Kate Middleton an aunt again! James is the youngest child and only son of Carole and Michael Middleton, who have had plenty of practice as doting grandparents. In addition to Princess Kate and Prince William’s three kids —Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 — Carole and Mike are also grandparents to daughter Pippa and husband James Matthews’ three young children: Arthur, Grace and Rose.

James and Alizee met in 2018 and got engaged a year later, tying the knot in France in September 2021.

James credited his beloved dog Ella, who died early this year, with introducing him to his wife. In a 2019 essay for The Telegraph, he wrote that he first connected with Alizee at the South Kensington Club in Chelsea after his cocker spaniel “made a beeline” for the French financial analyst. Mistaking James for a server, Alizee ordered a drink, and the rest is history.

On July 5, the couple announced that Alizee was pregnant. James posted a photo of his wife cradling her baby bump in the countryside as their golden retriever Mabel playfully raised her sweater.

"We couldn’t be more excited … well Mable might be ❤️” James captioned the Instagram snap. “It was a very difficult start to the year after losing my beloved Ella [in January] however we will end the year with the most precious little addition to our growing family ❤️”

The couple shares six dogs — Mabel, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Nala and Isla — who join them on many adventures. In July, James sweetly spoke about how he was preparing the pack for the new baby while appearing on Good Morning Britain.

“I have pep talks with the dogs quite a lot about what we're about to be going through, and I think that is a really exciting next step for us as a family. I'm very much looking forward to it and I know the dogs are very excited,” he said in a video shared by Hello! magazine.
