The royal family were out in full force this evening in London to pay respects to those who lost their lives in battle.

Kate Middleton attended the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall with Prince William, who returned from Singapore earlier this week following his Earthshot Prize Awards, and were joined by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and other members of the royal family.

For the solemn event, the Princess of Wales wore a black dress, which she paired with what appeared to be Queen Elizabeth's three-strand pearl necklace, which Kate previously wore to a lunch at Buckingham Palace ahead of the Queen's funeral last year. She also looked to be wearing pearl and diamond earrings.

Kate topped the ensemble with a crimson poppy pin, which is a poignant symbol the royal family wear throughout November to commemorate fallen troops. Since marrying William, Kate has attended the event seven times, including today's appearance.

This year's festival is extra special as it also marked 80 years since The Battle of the Atlantic and the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. Additionally, in tribute to the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush’s arrival, this festival honored the contributions made by the Windrush generation to the military. The Windrush generation are best known as the Caribbean people who emigrated to the UK from 1948 through 1971.

Before attending the event, The King and Queen unveiled new statues of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Queen Victoria, and Prince Albert. The life-size sculptures were commissioned by The Royal Albert Hall to mark their 150th anniversary celebrations.

Tomorrow, Kate and the rest of royal family will gather again for the national memorial service at The Cenotaph in London.
