Kate Middleton Pops On Versatile Black Leather Pumps for a Visit to South Wales
Kate Middleton spoke with bereaved family members during a visit to TA Hafan, a children’s hospice, based in Sully, Wales today. The hospice supports families in Wales to ensure that children with life-shortening conditions live fulfilling lives.
The princess wore simple black pumps. The footwear choice featured glossy and lush black leather uppers accompanied by sharp knife-like pointed toes and sturdy block heels standing at around 3 to 4 inches in height. The footwear pick was a classic one, complementing the natural tones found in her ensemble for the day. A must-have for celebrities and royals alike, black pumps are exceedingly versatile, partnering well with most, if not all, pieces from denim to dresses.

The addition of the block heel offered the silhouette comfort and stability, allowing Middleton more support than the average stiletto heel. The black pump Middleton chose for her visit to Wales is not unlike Russell & Bromley’s “100 Point” Court Shoe in black, a staple in the royal’s wardrobe. Comparable styles can also be shopped via top brands like Nine West, Vince Camuto, Marc Fisher, Christian Louboutin, Inez, Clarks and Prada, among others.
Partnered with her neutral pumps, Middleton donned a black and white houndstooth dress from Zara featuring bow tie detailing around the neck. The long-sleeved garment was layered under a white wool coat.
Kate can often be found wearing pointed-toe pumps from Emmy London, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman, among others. However, her go-to style is Gianvito Rossi’s 105 pumps. In addition to her royal rotation of heels, the duchess also wears affordable sneakers from New Balance, Adidas, Superga and Zara on and off duty.
During her visit to Wales, the princess highlighted the work of longstanding organizations that prioritize community at their core. Middleton’s focus was on the wellbeing of children and families and celebrating the excellence of Welsh textile manufacturing.
