Kasih Iris Leona dismisses concern over possible hyperthyroidism
20 Jun - Social media influencer Kasih Iris Leona wants people to stop speculating whether or not she has a thyroid problem by clarifying once and for all that she is fine.
Addressing the thyroid rumour on TikTok, the daughter of Azhar Sulaiman said that it would be the first and the last time she would be talking about it as it is considered a private matter.
"If you think I don't know about it, then you're stupid. I look at myself in the mirror every day and I see it, okay?" she said.
Leona stated that she even had gone to the doctors twice and had a full blood test the first time. She said that the test cleared her from any illness the first time two years ago, but that she went to the doctors again after netizens kept talking about it and was cleared once again.
"If that's not enough, I did an ultrasound and the actual size of my thyroid is normal and that this is just fat, okay. It's just fat. I am not sick. I'm fat," she stressed.
As for people saying she must have a thyroid issue as her eyes are bulging, Leona said that her eyes are just big.
"Please stop commenting about my thyroid because it's very annoying because you made me feel concerned about my health when I know I'm fine," she added.
While she is thankful for people for showing concern about her body, she considered it rude for others to make comments about her body.
