Karrueche Tran Wears Hidden Shoes & Striped Pant Suit to The Truth Awards
Karrueche Tran attended the 10th annual Truth Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Saturday in a hidden pair of black heels. She paired the style with a striped pantsuit, complete with a neck-tie and matching gloves.
Hidden footwear is not a typical style for Tran. The “Bel-Air” actress often appears on red carpets in high heels, usually black, and other shoes that make a statement. At the FN Achievement Awards in 2023, she stepped out in a pair of strappy black pumps, a timeless look that the actress has often recreated with similar footwear. On May 13, 2023, she wore a pair of black Dolce and Gabbana pumps to the GLAAD Media Awards. Beyond classic styles, Tran still appears to prefer a heel. Last year, she wore a pair of rhinestone stiletto sandals to the ‘Air’ Premiere in Los Angeles on March 27.

The Truth Awards occur annually in Los Angeles, California to bring together and celebrate Black members of the LGBTQ+ community who have impacted popular culture, politics and the arts. The event has honored over 50 individuals in the past decade and has awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to Black LGBTQ+ students to attend college.
About the Shoes
Black heels are a staple in women’s fashion. The style, worn frequently by Tran on red carpets and at public events, is timeless and elegant. A black heel can be paired with any outfit, even when not seen. In February, black heels were notably popular at Christian Dior’s Fall 2024 front row where Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence, Rosalia and Alexa Chung were all spotted wearing the style.
Hidden Heels Trend
The hidden shoe is a recent trend in women’s fashion. Actress Natalie Portman wore hidden heels to a Ligue 1 Match in Paris in June 2023 and Lana Condor sported hidden heels to last year’s Unforgettable Gala in December. The style offers the wearer height while allowing their outfit to shine.
