Kara Hui happy for Best Supporting Actress nomination

4 Oct – Hong Kong actress Kara Hui is elated to be one of the few Hong Kong actors to be nominated in the upcoming Golden Horse Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in "Tracey", said that she just got off the plane from Hangzhou when her phone was beeping with dozens of messages.

"I was very happy to hear the news. I feel really grateful to be able to play this great character," she said.

However, Kara said that she will not put too much pressure on herself and will attend the awards ceremony with a neutral state of mind.

"Tracey" stars Philip Keung in his first lead role as Travis, a 51-year-old married man who goes on a journey of transformation from male to female.

Kara will be facing a tough competition from the likes of actresses like Phoebe Huang, Ding Ning, and Xu Qing.
