Kanye and John Legend Are Fighting About Trump

From Cosmopolitan

Yesterday, Kanye West went on a Twitter spree about politics, Donald Trump, and basically anything else that was on his mind at the time. It started with this tweet:

Eventually, he tweeted a picture of a Make America Great Again hat that was signed by Trump, and Trump even tweeted back, and then Kim stepped in to ask him to clarify that he doesn't "agree with everything Trump does."

John Legend took notice of the interaction. He started tweeting, and although he didn't outrightly say he was talking about Kanye... he was basically talking about Kanye.

The last tweet directly calls out people who turn a blind eye to Trump's "white supremacist" tendencies, in this case, he's talking about Kanye and his history with Trump, and he says it would take "some serious cognitive dissonance to ignore" the bad things the President has done.

Right after the 2016 election, Kanye met with the then-president elect in Trump tower, and he faced serious backlash from his fans. At the time, Kanye addressed the issue on Twitter, saying "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues ... I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."

If you were wondering where this leaves John and Kanye's friendship, today, Kanye tweeted a text exchange he had with John. John asked him to reconsider aligning himself with Trump, and he basically said John was trying to manipulate his free thought.

Guess that settles that!
