Kamala Harris’ Niece Meena Harris Models Prada From Her Couch in a Cutout Sweater, Silky Skirt & Slingback Pumps
While Vice President Kamala Harris’ impressive sartorial choices oftentimes make headlines, it’s her niece Meena Harris that is stealing the show this week.
Prada tapped the best-selling author to model pieces from its newly debuted fall ’21 collection yesterday, having Harris pose in chic designs from the comfort of her own home. The lawyer rose to the occasion with grace and personality, dancing across her couch in a video taken by filmmaker Brittney Janae. In the clip shared to Instagram, Harris modeled a cutout sweater tucked into a maxi-length satin skirt.

The outfit then came complete with a light blue shoulder bag and coordinating sleek blue slingback pumps; while the new heels aren’t available to shop yet, similar silhouettes retail for $920 at Moda Operandi.
While Meena’s work and reputation have long been upheld and admired, her style came into the public eye more throughout her aunt’s bid for the Oval Office. The “Ambitious Girl” author even made headlines of her own on Inauguration Day as she broke out a green ruffled silky dress complete with puffed sleeves and a peplum waistline. The tiered design from Ulla Johnson then came layered with a Coach shearling coat, Ana Khouri and Temple St. Clair jewelry and the boldest set of boots.
The sparkling knee-high design came set atop a pointed-toe silhouette with a towering stiletto heel that appeared to measure close to 4 inches in height. The Holly design comes from FNAA-recipient, Paris Texas, and retail for $1,820 at ModaOperandi.com.
While Kamala Harris’ own style earns glowing approval for its chic lineup of tailored pieces and unique flair, Meena Harris’ fashion repertoire is not lacking standout looks, either. From her white three-piece suit and glittering pumps from election day to her denim jumpsuit with floral sneakers promoting local bookstores, the founder of the Phenomenal Woman Action Campaign knows how to style bold attire for any occasion.
Her previous picks support designers from all areas of the industry including a Christopher John Rogers gown, an Argent power suit, a Kynah sari and, of course, a pair of classic Converse sneakers. And for the virtual Inauguration Ball in January, Meena even wore a Prabal Gurung glittering dress with thigh-high suede Coach boots.
