Justin Lee found guilty

22 Oct – Justin Lee's drug rape case has finally concluded with the Taiwanese socialite found guilty for raping his victims and videotaping them.

According to Popular Asians, on 19 October, Lee who admitted to purchasing date rape drugs online (that he also allegedly used on his stepmother) was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Although his stepmother did not appear as witness, she has been assisting the prosecutors in recovering physical evidence that helped them won the case.

Lee's defense team failed to convince the court that the women in the video tapes had engaged in consensual sex with him, after facing witnesses' testimonies and evidences, including retrieved samples of the date rape drugs found in his residence.

The case started in July 2011, when two sisters filed a complaint against Lee for drug rape and unauthorised video recording of the sexual assault. The socialite denied the claims and counter-filed charges in return, insisting that the women had consensual sex with him.

After further investigation, the police uncovered Lee's extremely explicit pornographic collection with close to 50 celebrities and models in them and were shot without the knowledge of the victims.

On 1 August 2012, the Taipei District Prosecutors' Office issued a warrant for his arrest after thirteen women pressed charges against him. The socialite then surrendered himself after 23 days and was denied bail based on the severity of his crime.
